What you need to know about a burrito from the UK – What you can eat and how to make it from scratch
What you will need to make: 1 large egg white (8 oz) 2 Tbsp of sesame oil 1 1/2 cups of cooked chicken (or beef) 1 cup of cooked corn kernels 1 cup fresh cilantro 1 cup diced onion 2 cups of fresh cheddar cheese (or parmesan cheese) 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper (or chorizo) 1 Tbsp chopped garlic 1/3 cup of chopped parsley (or basil) 2/3 tsp ground black pepper 2 Tsp of cayenne pepper Instructions Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
Heat oven to 190C/350F/gas mark 5 and let the mixture rise for about an hour.
Mix the egg white and sesame oils until well combined.
If you are not making a burritos breakfast cheddar or parmeson are not recommended for the egg.
Melt the cheddar in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth.
Add the corn kernels and cook until the kernels begin to soften.
Add a little more milk if the mixture is too thick.
Add enough of the egg to make an even mixture.
Mix in the chicken and corn, and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until it’s cooked through.
Mix it up in a small bowl and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken the mixture.
Add more cheese if it seems too thick to go.
Once the chicken is cooked and thick, add the cheese and cheddar and mix it up until it becomes very creamy.
Add parsley and red pepper if you wish.
Serve it with some fresh cayceas or lettuce on the side.
